About Yousuf Nabi

Yousuf is the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu kids, fundamentals and beginners coach. He represents the multiple world champion winning Alliance team and co runs Alliance Jiu-Jitsu Brighton along with Head instructor Miad Najafi.

Born and raised in Brighton Yousuf is a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Purple belt training under the legendary Romero Jacare Calvacante

Yousuf has been studying the art of grappling since 2004 and teaching since 2006. With nearly 8 years of training and competing, Yousuf has competed in many of the top BJJ tournaments and has also dabbled in mixed martial arts competitions with a amateur record of 4-1-1, with all 4 wins by submission.

Yousuf has recently undertaken an Accredited Alliance Instructor's course under 4 x World Champion; Mestre Fabio Gurgel and the Legendary Red & Black Belt; Mestre Romero "Jacare" at Alliance Headquarters in Atlanta. The course qualifies Yousuf to teach the fundamentals and beginners course that Alliance have designed to help new and experienced students alike to develop their foundation to the grappling art.

In early 2011 Yousuf established the Alliance Brighton, Little Eagles anti-bully program. These kids classes aim to help build confidence, instil discipline and respect, increase agility and teach an effective self defence without the need for strikes. This program is growing from strength to strength with the view to adding more classes over the next few months.
